Registration and Conference Venue Information

Conference Registration
As a STP Spring 2013 conference speaker you will receive a complimentary registration (non-transferable) for the Main Conference Package (April 23-25).  This registration will automatically be made for you and you will receive a conference registration confirmation letter via email on April 11th.  Please note the registration does not include a pre-conference workshop.  You can attend a pre-conference workshop for a discounted rate of $400. If you are interested in attending a pre-conference workshop, please email Abbie Caracostas.

A special discounted rate of $189.00 per night has been reserved for conference speakers and attendees.

We will be happy to make your hotel reservations for you. 
Simply fill out the following hotel reservation form below and return this form via email to Abbie Caracostas by Friday, March 15th
If you would prefer to make your own reservation you may reserve your room online contact the hotel directly at 619.291.2900  and reference the Software Test Professionals Conference group rate.  The conference rate will be available until March 22nd or until the hotel room block sells out.

Speaker Media Kit
Now that your session proposal has been accepted start marketing your session! We have created a speaker media kit resource to help you promote your involvement with the conference.  Below you will find links to web ads which you can place on your website; speakers badge that can be used on your website or email signature; conference logo which can be used on Facebook posts; Conference Linkedin link; and a press release template.

Presentation Materials
Session presentations are due by 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday, April 10th. If you do not have your own PPT template, you are welcome to use the Conference PPT Template.
Submitting your slide deck:
  • Attach it to an e-mail, addressed to acaracostas@redwoodco.com.  
  • Identify the attachment by your last name and session number.
  • We can only accept files that are less than 10 MB. If your file exceeds 10 MB email Abbie Caracostas and she will provide you with further instructions.
  • Submit your PowerPoint presentation and any handouts in .ppt and/or .doc format.
  • We will create PDF versions (2 slides per page) of your files before we post them on the conference web site.

Audio/Visual Requirements
Core conference session breakout rooms are set classroom style with a podium, riser and a 6 foot head table.  These room set ups may not be altered in order to protect the consistency of the room set-ups.  

Pre-conference workshop rooms are set classroom style, unless you specifically request an alternate set-up.  

Each core conference session breakout room will be set with the following AV package:

  • Computer projector unit (capable of handling resolutions up to 1024x768)
  • Projection screen
  • One wireless lavaliere microphone (two for co-presenters)
  • Universal navigator mouse with a USB port – minimum XP or OSX operating system

If you have any other Audio/Visual requests, please fill out the Audio/Visual Request form and return it via email to Abbie Caracostas by 5:00 PM ET on March 29th.

Speaker Orientation Call
If this is the first time you have presented at an STP conference, we ask that you participate in a Speaker Orientation Conference Call.  Please mark your calendars now for Tuesday April 16, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. EST (1:00 PT, 2:00 MT, 3:00 CT).  This conference call with be an informational discussion and it will last about 15 minutes.  The dial-in information will be provided via email the day before the call.

Below you will find some opportunities to network with your fellow conference speakers and participants prior to the start of the conference.  We will be tweeting about your session and we will feature your content on our Facebook page.
