Accessibility and Inclusive Design are two closely related topics. Accessibility deals with making information available to people with disabilities and using technology to help make that Accessibility possible. Inclusive Design has similar goals, but it focuses on ways to do as much as possible without additional technology. In short, Inclusive Design is making choices in design and testing that provide benefits to everyone.
This workshop will focus on Inclusive Design principles, introduce the topic, and will use a before and after model to see examples of choices made and why they can benefit everyone. This workshop will be a combination of practical models and in-person demonstrations as well as online examples.
